Did we Run out of Good Movies?

Liliane 2008-12-16 17:02:34

I feel really frustrated every time I rent a movie because I spend hours looking for a decent movie and ended up picking the wrong one. I think script writers stopped being creative and genuine: well constructed plot became a rare trait and a good story seems to be optional. The only thing that matters in most movies in the market is violence, actions and a lot of arbitrary events that lead no where only to confuse the audience. No wonder most teenagers are confused and disoriented; I would be if I watch more movies of the kind that we find in most video stores. What happened to creativity and art? The audience is still looking for a good story with a beginning, middle and an end. Omissions are good only if the audience is able to fill the gaps and script writers should know that. Good actors are not good anymore when the story is absent. Money spent on a movie without a good story is a real loss. We need revival in film industry and new script writers with original ideas and a message to convey.
