The Row

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson are best known for their role as Michelle tanner on the 90's sitcom full house. But what most people don't know about them is their incredible fashion sense, and their new fashion collection “ The Row”. The name The Row stems from Savile Row, which is a street in London known for it's perfect tailored suits. The girls drew inspiration from that idea, as well as their quest to find “ a perfected fitted T-shirt” to create their new line.

Unlike their other clothing line (mary-kateandashley) you won't find these pieces at Wal-Mart. They've taken full control over this line are very selective in the distribution, as well as the prices, the locations to sell it too, and the models able to wear the pieces. Keeping this project very secretive, no media or out side purchasers were allowed to view the line until it made it's debut in selective store.

If you're looking to purchase any Row items you may have to take a trip out of town. Only 29 retailers are known to have ever had these pieces- Corso Como in Milan, Maria Luisa in Paris, Harvey Nichols in London, and Jeffrey in Atlanta are a few to mention. The prices of the items are steep as well. Consumers can look at prices like $3,220 for Tuscan lamb-fur coats, $1,700 cashmere tuxedo jackets with three-quarter sleeves, or $875 for banded strapless dresses. Not only are these pieces expensive, but they're rare. If you're looking for something a little more affordable, you may want to stick to their Wal-Mart brand. The twins also have another line called Elizabeth and James (named after their two siblings) that will be making an appearance sometime this season. But, rumor has it that the line, much like The Row, is expensive and uncommon to find.
