Getting Concert Tickets
WRITER 2008-09-19 15:16:58
To my dismay I was unable to get tickets today for AC/DC. Tickets sold out before the end of the hour. How is this possible. Many law abiding citizens like myself go about believing we're lucky enough to snatch some great tickets, only to be sadly disappointed. Some interesting tales I heard today in line, were that these sneaky ticket buyers have incorporated software to get tickets on the internet without giving us average joes a chance. Also, as quickly as means are made impossible for these sneaky ticket buyers to cause havov, they find more elete ways to hack into the system. Apparently, they have numerous different accounts since there is a limit to the amount of tickets sold per person. I was appalled. One nice young man I met in line actually tried to get tickets on the internet. He told me he couldn't get through online or on the telephone. He practically ran to the ticket kiosk to get a ticket. He was standing with me wishing against hope to get a ticket when it was called out that , "Sorry folks. Tickets are sold out!" We were all deflated. All we wanted was to see a classic rock band. I grew up with AC/DC, and other classic bands. I'm not surprised this young man wished to get tickets for the concert since my own son, who is the mere age of sixteen, is so entralled with the bands of my youth. He is the one I thought of when I didn't get these magic tickets. The mere joy on his face would have been priceless. However, not priceless enough that I would get tickets through these ruthless money makers who will jack up prices for a profit online. I might add that I worked the night shift at my job, and had yet to get any sleep. All in hopes that I may somehow be priveledged to get my son some tickets. There is a reason I work, as well as all those other sincere ticket buyers out there. Or those yoiung students who appreciate a great band, and can hardly afford tickets. It is sad that we suffer for others who would do better if they would get a real job. For now I will wish for a miracle, that somehow my son will one day see this band. As well as that young man wishing the same.
