Rush-My First Experience!

I have been listening to Rush for years, I’m in my thirties and yet I still hadn’t seen the band considering I knew a lot of their music. Well I got my first experience last night at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and let me say it left me in awe of how amazing this band is to see live!
I have been to Molson before for concerts and I have a few coming up but I will tell you this, I have never seen the lawn area where I was so packed in my life! Not to mention that I have never had to stand on the lawn for an entire concert! Not that I minded but with previous experiences there, you were always sitting, though I did do that during Rush’s intermission.
Between the guzzling of beer, the screaming and the Rush shirts and everything else associated with a concert; Rush played around three hours which was another experience for me! That was the longest I have ever seen a band play at any concert I have attended over the many years, you certainly get your money’s worth! And I have been to about seventy concerts.
The vast amount of songs included quite a few new ones of their latest album as well as a mix of the old including an opening with a clip on the video screen of the kids from South Park playing Tom Sawyer before going into the song itself, I loved it as well as Limelight and so on. Two songs I would have loved to hear were Fly by Night and Closer to the Heart, but oh well I guess you can’t have everything when you are treated to three hours of a fantastic show! I will most definitely go to another concert of theirs in a heart beat.
