The Versus : a rising star of glam rock France

Rockers, what come to my mind before I met them in person was several
young men with metal attributes, talk in sharp words and could be `less'
polite, but no, two young men that I faced later were so cool and
generous. Always nice and full of enthusiasm during the interview. A one
hour interview that we planed from 12 pm to 13 pm unavoidable finished
only at 13.20 pm

Yo (vocal, guitar) and Stephane (guitar) came almost in the same time.
Mentioned that the group is working on their new album, it shall be
released at autumn this year. A promo tour in some cities of France is
planed too followed by a show in the nice theatre, Bataclan, dated on
November 16th. They promised the new album will more power, more energy,
and surely better than the previous one as they added a lot of elements
into their compositions. Inspirational and distinguish are their target.

The Versus are taking off with their song le silence, a composition that
easily grabs our intention. The mix between Yo's delicious vocal with
glam rock melodies meet grunge spirit are really well done. Consist of
5 talented young men, Yo, Stephane, Werner (bass), Tonio (drum) and Mad
Dam (cello, guitar). This group appears differently than mostly rock
bands in France. Their music is rich with accent so Anglo-Saxons. It is
not easy to interpret French lyrics in `brit' nuance. But they could do
and the result is big Bravo to them.

When come to the question about solidity, both Yo and Stephane are
confident their group won't easily break up or change the personnel.
Why? Simply because every member often talks and agrees that respect to
each other is an important thing. They come to the vision that the
success of the group is the success of every person in the group. I
agree !

But what about girls, drunk and drug? The `demons' of showbiz that
without question can be a destruction element. Many big talented stars
can resist and continue have good careers even their reputation doted by
these bad habits. But we can not close our eyes, these `demons' are also
killed career many talented artistes. Yo said they will put priority to
the group, each member of the group must contribute the best for the
group, work well and hold on the commitment to give the best.
Personally, each person in the group has their freedom to choose their
way. Diplomatic answer.

At the end, I have my impression about them. Besides their talents and
musical qualities, they have the manner. Personalities. If someday they
are becoming great rock band in this planet, I won't be surprise, they
have all what a group band needed. Quality, energy and personalities.
