In today’s highly competitive business environment, consumers have more choice than ever before, yet less time to choose. When most of us go shopping, we are most enamored with the newest, coolest, greatest stuff. Real Innovation is accomplished consistently given the true voice of the customer and a process for delivering solutions. Inventors such as Ben Franklin or Alexander Bell have created things such as electricity and the telephone, which most of us couldn't imagine life without. Everyday we use things that have become second nature to us, but yet we give little time to thinking how these creations have been created and who was the mastermind behind them. What makes a brand a strong innovation in the first place? If you think about it, a fundamentally paradoxical thing: the "consistent personality".Personality is uniquely human while consistency is artificial. Only a machine can be the same all the time.
Let's say, you go to the Apple store because you like to experience a certain personality with sleek designs and stylish outlook every single time. It is also nice to know that you can leave the store without any commitment and go to another one. Apple doesn't care because Apple has its own "personality", but it's not a real person. And this is exactly why you can't just 'brand people' the way you brand products. Branding techniques are geared toward humanizing products. You can't transfer the same techniques to people. Just because you can lend personality to a car, doesn't mean you can freeze a human personality in time and space.

GEARING UP FOR CHANGE
The digital transition is the most significant advancement in television technology since the introduction of color TV more than 50 years ago. TV stations have been preparing for the switchover since the late 1990s, testing out digital channels. The cessation of the transmission of analog signals in 2009 and the move to digital will free up valuable spectrum for broadband wireless communications and other applications and services ,a technique called "multicasting" which enables the transmission of multiple channels on the same frequency just like in radio stations .For viewers, the benefits of the switch are mainly in quality for better images and sound.

While Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the digital era, Brand Building 2.0 is the business revolution in the marketing industry resulting from the Internet. Marketers are competing in a challenging new landscape. New media options present great opportunity yet can be daunting in the choices available. Further, the Echo-Boomers (born 1982-1994) a new generation is taking the torch when it comes to consumer spending, according to a new survey by Visa USA. In what might surprise the older generation, the survey found the Echo Boomers to be "more practical and mature in their spending habits and more generous to others," the report noted.

Sometimes carrying around a device even as small as a laptop is a hassle. Programs that run on a USB device can go almost anywhere and can eliminate the need to carry the computer from one place to another .With new portable applications that includes bookmarks, settings, e-mail , instant messaging , anti virus ,and Open Office, all essential productivity tools are installed on a USB drive and fit into a pocket, the height of coolness in "lite" software applications.

EMERGING INNOVATIONS
Emotive clothing A research team at Philips has developed clothes that look good and let others know how you feel. The "Bubelle Blush Dress" is designed with equipped sensors that respond to changes in the wearer's emotions and project them onto the outer layer of the textile.Interesting
idea for some comfortable wearing their emotions on their sleeves.

Wrist Watch MP3/MP4 Player and Telephone .You‘ll be able to phone home with two-way interactive video wristwatches. At the touch of a button, you‘ll talk to people across the street or across the ocean. Smile! A video image of your face will appear along with your voice .Forget long distant bills and roaming charges.A small device that let you talk and see anyone, anywhere and anytime.

Epos Lite Digital Menu .This device is still a concept, so there is no word when every restaurant will have an EPOS-lite to simplify the process of restaurant orders and payments by installing a digital menu at each table .When selections are made, the customer gets to see exactly what he or she has picked, and it is also displayed to the chef. Once the meal is finished, and it is time to pay, the EPOS-lite handle that as well. All the user needs to do is enter in their payment information, and the meal is paid in full. Hopefully, the EPOS-lite can take care of the tip as well .
