WInehouse Shot to/for Fame

 New York City now has a sculpture of Amy WInehouse lying with a hole in her head-in a pool of blood.

The artist, Marco Perego, insists his work is intended as a "warning" to the 5 time Grammy Award winning Miss Winehouse- whose infamous ways have attacked tabloid headlines this past year with disturbing stories of drug and alcohol abuse. Her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently undergoing rehab after serving several months in prison for beating up a pub landlord and perverting the course of justice.

The piece, entitled 'The Only Good Rock Star Is A Dead Rock Star', has the writer William S. Burroughs(Naked Lunch-also an opium addict)  standing over her dead body holding a gun, apparently after playing a deadly game of 'WIlliam Tell'.

Winehouse's spokesperson has hinted that the artist has used Miss WInehouse purely for the commercial attention her name attracts, calling it a "funny kind of tribute"-which I guess it kind of is.
