It's Only Rock and Roll.....

This is for Los Angeles Humans or any Humans coming this way.  Long Beach has a great rock and roll club, Alex's Bar on Anaheim street, south of Pacific Coast Highway.  Not much to this place, bar on one side, stage back in corner, pool table and some tables and chairs.  Day of the Dead motiff.

Back in the day, it was Floyd's, a gay country bar.  Alex (a good looking Mexican guy) bought it six years ago, gutted it and built it back up.  I believe the building was built in the '30s.   Usually five bucks to get in, beer specials, very casual atmosphere, funny murals in the bathroom.  At least in the women's bathroom.

One band I have seen there: Girl in a Coma.  Two sisters and their best friend.  Phanie, Jenn and Nina.   They are great,  play with Cyndi Lauper/True Colors Aids Awareness  tour.  The band said they have played at Alex's five times now, coming back in October.
