Baby and toddler stabbed to death!

A baby and his toddler brother have been found stabbed to death at a property in Manchester.

The bodies of three month old Delayno Mullings Sewell and his two year old brother Romario were discovered by Greater Manchester Police at around 1800 GMT yesterday (12 November)

Their 21 year old mother was held on suspicion of murder but she has now been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

The police were called at about 1320 GMT by a concerned doctor who was worried about the family's welfare after being visited by the mother.

Police officers arrived at the property at about 1450 but received no answer. After further attempts to reach the mother police forced their way into the property where they were faced with the horrifying sight of two dead children.

Family of the two boys said: 'We, as a family, are struggling to come to terms with the tragic events of yesterday afternoon and we cannot even begin to understand what happened.

'Everybody is completely devastated and although we appreciate the interest of the press, we would be very grateful if the family could be left in peace to begin the grieving process.

'We hope that wherever the boys have gone to, they are at peace.'
