Tips on how to meet that speial someone......

Meeting that special someone can sometimes be hard. Whether you are a man looking for a girlfriend or a woman looking for a boyfriend, our lives can be so busy that finding a good partner can remain at the bottom of our wish list. It took me until I was 32 to finally found the ideal partner. I had totally given up and found myself social life was taken up with being friends and socialising with a couple of gay men.

Finding love is not easy. Some people find ‘the one’ quickly, others often think they have found the perfect partner but can be proved wrong and for others it takes more time and you begin to wonder whether you will ever find someone to settle down with.

Nowadays there are so many different tools we can use in trying to find a good man so ladies read on and learn.

1.Speed dating

you can often find listings on websites such as www.speeddater.com or in your local newspapers. These are usually safe and fun events where you have the opportunity to chat to many men a set length of time and at the end you can chose to arrange a meeting with someone you like.

2.Internet dating sites.

Over the past few years this had become a huge phenomenon. There are many popular sites you can use. Some are totally free, but most there is a joining fee included. So of the better sites are DirectDating.com, match.com, www.FriendsReunitedDating.co.uk, www.londondating.com and www.LoopyLove.com. I have used all of the above sites and found them to be safe and useful. Can add photos and a profile and search through files of men of any age and location.

3.Local newspaper dating ads.

Most local newspapers in the UK includes pages of advertisements from men and women all looking to meet someone. It is mainly a telephone based tool, whereby you ring a number and you can listen to different ads people have placed over the phone. If like the sound of someone voice and profile, then you have the option to leave a message back and see if they respond.

Not to be recommended for mobile phone user, as the cost of this service is expensive per minute. I would suggest only use this service on a land line phone.

4.Text Dating.

Again there are often ads in local newspapers to sign up
to ‘text dating’. I have seen adverts on television for this service offering you the chance to chat to different people. Again this is not the cheapest of options and if you are a ‘pay as you go’ mobile phone user it will cost you a small fortune. I have tried this service and I chatted to a couple of men but we never met up.

5.Dating Clubs.

For anyone is really can’t be bothered with endless phone calls, advertising and setting up personal profiles then there are dating clubs which arrange social activities such as meals and drinks out, party cruises, and ‘lock and key’ evenings. When I first moved to London I joined contactsingles.co.uk and on my own I went on a party cruise. The price was £20 and you basically ride up and down the times on a large boat, have a few drinks, dance and chat to men. I ended up having a great evening and even met a nice young man out of it for a while. The great thing about this site is the no joining fee. You only pay for the evenings you want to attend.

6.Chance encounters

You never really know when you are likely to meet someone on a chance meeting, whether it be at a supermarket, on holiday, at a concert, at work or even or a night out with friends in a bar or night club. It is possible that your good man searching is waiting just around the corner.

The above ideas are all tools in which we can look for men. Many people have been successful finding their perfect partners through dating sites, nights out with friends or even at work. None of these methods are guarantees in finding good men but if you are out there looking, then sooner or later something good is going to happen. It beats staying at home alone and just giving up.

I had once been at the giving up stage and last year I finally found someone I worked with was my perfect match. Anything is possible.
