Tsvangirai Throwing In The Towel?

After Mugabe's party carved out all the main ministries for themselves and left only lesser ministries to the Movement for Democratic Change Party, Tsvangirai has threatened to step down and throw the country back into the political mess it has been in for several years.

The ministries snapped up by Mugabe include defense, home and foreign affairs, justice, mining and land, to name but a few. They hold almost all the power and control needed to effect any reforms clearly needed in Zimbabwe.

"An idiot wouldn't accept that," Tsvangirai preached to 15,000 supporters. "That is not power sharing, it is power grabbing."

"Robert Mugabe, stop that because if you don't, we have no right to be part of such an arrangement," Tsvangirai said.

Robert Mugabe clearly has no care for his people or his country. Just under half the population is close to starvation with a major humanitarian disaster about to unfold.

Tsvangirai won the election in March for the Presidency but the margin was not sufficient and required a second election to be held. After his supporters were continuously persecuted and beaten by the ZANU-PF party supporting Mugabe, Tsvangirai decided to drop out rather then continue the slaughter of his people.

As a result of Mugabe, annual inflation in the country is a staggering 231 million percent. The deterioration of this once beautiful land will continue until the MDC is able to take their rightfull place at the head of the government.
