Is CAA really worth it?

I've been a member of CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) for over 10 years and have never made an emergency call or utilized any of its so called benefits. I know there is more to the CAA membership than just roadside assistance - much, much more (so they say). In addition to emergency roadside assistance, there is travel agency services, insurance and discount offers. How great are these discounts? How much do you save? Does it make your membership worthwhile if your car doesn't break down? I've never used any of these "benefits". Most new cars these days comes with roadside assistance so I'm not sure if there is really a point in renewing this year or continuing to pay $300+ for unused services. Most travel websites offer discount packages for get-aways, rentals and insurance...my new car has roadside services so...
Is CAA or the American equivalent, AAA, really worth it?
