VALENTINE'S DAY IS FOR SUCKERS!

I noticed if you're not into Valentine's Day's then you must be bitter, got dumped, don't have a significant other, and well, just a loser. It's when you're at a party, people find you interesting and then when they find out you're not married they all let out a sigh and now, instead of finding you interesting they now feel sorry for you and wish you the best of luck on your search for fining Mr. or Mrs. Right.
The truth of the matter is if people really knew what their significant others thought about this day they would know it's so over rated. How many times have you gone to work and have heard people complaining about Valentine's Day? Every year! Women usually use these phrases: He better send me flowers, I hope he upgrades my ring, I'm just gonna get him a sweater, etc.
And the men, poor souls! This is not even a day for them. They should name it “WOMAN'S DAY”. They dread this day and try not to even talk about it because they know no matter what they do there will be no satisfaction. Men are not as touching feeling as women. When it comes to gifts they don't know how to match the tissue paper with the gift bag. They know when it comes to this day they will fail. Someone is not going to be happy. Someone's credit card is going to be charged, a bill is going to go unpaid in order to pay for Valentine's Day dinner, etc.
When I see all this drama unfold I just sit back and take notes. Whatever happened to the simple gifts like wild flowers, a favorite book, breakfast in bed ? Today it's all about showing off.
And before you ask, no I'm not a bitter old woman. My ovaries are getting rather dusky but their still in working order. And no I don't have a man. That's the problem right? If I had a man and he brought me flowers at work I could then join the rest of the blissful devotees who are disciples of St. Valentine.
I think I'll pass…..We'll see what happens next year! Who knows, maybe I'll convert!
