WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER DOOR OPENS

If you have read my past articles you have been on an adventure with me from having a job to searching for another one, to finding a job but losing it. Well I am proud to say, I GOT A JOB! It has been a long road. One that I don’t want to revisit but one that was necessary to travel on.
We are so use to being in the monotony of holding down a job and when we lose it, we lose part of ourselves our job becomes a part of our identity. I didn’t realize that until I lost my job when that door closed I just couldn’t see beyond that. It was like breaking up with someone without the closure on why the break up occurred.
For a while I was so hung up on the why, not thinking on what’s next. It came to my attention that I was in mourning. I was married to my job and when I lost it I didn’t have anything to fall back on. In these days and times have a plan A B and C we never know what life may bring. If we stay ready we don’t have to get ready.
When that door closed another one opened. I now work a regular job no more 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week. I work 5 minutes from my home and I have more time with my family and friends. I have more energy and I am pleasant to be around. I can truly say I am glad that the door closed because the new door that opened is something I couldn’t imagine. So the moral of this story is, when one door closes don’t try to open it back up leave it locked!
Thought of the Day:
Stop trying to put a question mark where destiny has put a period.
