What is design to you?

For many who have only heard the word "design" might define it as a way of communication, a way to make things beautiful and attractive, but more specifically a way to make money. However, for a practitioner of design it is also about passion and to a certain extent, a way of life. It is a way of life for me atleast. From a very young age there have always been an urge to design everything around me. One of the earliest things I remember designing was my own toys. It was no wonder I ended up in Graphic design, but I was a designer even before I even heard of the word "design". Now I design things from the interior of my room, to patterns on my clothes. One of the most recent and exciting projects I worked on was a Masquerade Party at my friend's huge backyard. From large scale posters, tickets and planning, everything was designed with passion. The result was over 50 people showed up and a night full of new friends, and memories you won't forget. It was a lot of work, but to be part of such a great project I really thank God for my interest in design. Is design a passion for you?
